چکیده
Allergic rhinitis (AR), allergic conjunctivitis (AC), and asthma are characterized by activation of the immune system. The aim this study was to explore long-term association between AR, AC, asthma, specific immunoglobulin E (IgE) blood platelet leukocyte differential counts. In Danish Blood Donor Study, 14,440 participants from Central Denmark Region had counts available completed a questionnaire regarding asthma. Of these participants, 8485 were tested for IgE inhalation allergens. prevalence sensitization 19%, 15%, 9%, 29%, respectively. wheeze, associated with increased eosinophil concentration even in sensitized who did not report any allergy or strongest associations observed current disease. We found no differences months without symptoms AR wheezing, allergens concentration. This may reflect persistent inflammation periods symptomatic

Levels of total serum IgE and specific IgE sensitization profile in patients with atopic dermatitis
Background Atopic dermatitis is a multifactorial disease associated with elevated production of IgE and sensitization to multiple food and inhalant allergens. The aim of this study was to assess the levels of total serum IgE (IgE) and specific IgE (sp IgE ) for Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus (Dp), Blomia tropicalis (Bt), egg white, casein, alpha-lactalbumin and beta-lactoglobulin in patients wit...
متن کاملIncreased Prevalence of H1N1-Induced Severe Lower Respiratory Tract Diseases in Children With Atopic Sensitization
PURPOSE Viral infection is the most common aggravating factor for childhood asthma. Asthma may be a risk factor for severe respiratory symptoms in children with lower respiratory tract infections of viral etiology. Influenza A infection enhances Th2-polarization to house dust mites during the acute phase and leads to lung dysfunction in a mouse model. However, there are no data on the relations...
متن کاملImmune Alterations in IgE and Non IgE-Associated Atopic Dermatitis
Atopic dermatitis is a complex disease in which a strong interaction between alterations of skin barrier and the adaptive immune system coexists. In the recent years, new findings have underlined the importance of skin proteins, especially filaggrin, which participate to the outmost layers of the skin. To strengthen this physical barrier, many factors are available, such as antimicrobial peptid...
متن کاملAntibiotic Sensitivity of Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale Isolates Associated with Respiratory Diseases.
187 commercial checken flocks affected with respiratory diseases were examined for Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale isolation. The bacterium was isolated from 105 (56.2%) poultry flocks. Drug sensitivity test using standard disk diffusion technique was performed with 19 antibiotics. All the isolates were susceptible to tiamulin and most of them were susceptible to chloramphenicol and linco-spect...
متن کاملAnti-latex IgE antibodies in blood donors
The prevalence of specific IgE to natural rubber latex proteins in the general population remains uncertain. The purpose of this study was to determine the prevalence of sera containing specific IgE antibodies to latex proteins using immunoenzymatic methods. A population of 500 unselected adult voluntary blood donors was the source of the sera used in this study. Two different immunoenzymatic me...
